Chris is a teacher, international trainer and methodology writer, based in Seville. He has taught in mainstream schools and private language academies in Spain and for the British Council in Damascus and Barcelona. An ELT ‘ideas man’, he is well-known for his lively but practical sessions. Chris is particularly interested in the dialogue between teachers and learners – of all ages, language retention, and the lesson as an event in itself. He is the author of four methodology books, including Understanding Teenagers in the ELT Classroom (2018, Pavilion), which was an ELTons finalist, and Structuring Fun for Young Learners in the ELT Classroom (2020, Pavilion). His YouTube channel is called Teaching Teenagers English.
